To the Busy Mom Who Feels Like She’s Falling Behind- This is for You

I used to think I was behind in motherhood. Behind on routines. Behind on goals. Behind on being the mom I thought I should be. But what I’ve realized? I’m not behind. I’m human.

Let’s just get real for a second.

If you’ve ever ended the day exhausted, looking around at the dishes, the unfolded laundry, and the unchecked to-do list; wondering if you’re the only one who can’t seem to keep up…

This is for you.

If you’ve ever thought:

“I should be further along…”

“I’m failing at this…”

“I can’t do all of this…”

This is for you.

If you’ve ever smiled on the outside while quietly breaking down on the inside.

This is especially for you.

You are not alone.

So many of us are walking around carrying invisible weights:

The pressure to be the perfect mom.

The guilt of missing a moment.

The frustration of juggling a million roles.

And the fear that we’re somehow falling behind in all of them.

But here’s what I need you to hear today:

You’re not falling behind, you’re showing up.

And that matters more than you know.

Give yourself your flowers, now.

Because you’ve:

  • Held it together when things were falling apart.
  • Made magic out of messes.
  • Loved fiercely, even when you felt empty.
  • Pushed through days you didn’t think you could.
  • Through the obstacles

You’ve done so much. Don’t overlook that. Stop and pause in it. Acknowledge how far you’ve come, and ALL that you’ve accomplished.

Let’s shift the mindset:

What if…

Instead of saying “I’m behind,”

You said, “I’m in progress.”

What if…

Instead of feeling like you’re losing,

You realized you’re learning and becoming?

What if the goal wasn’t perfection

But peace?

(That’s a topic for our next post)

A moment of grace for you:

You are allowed to pause.

You are allowed to reset.

You are allowed to rest.

And most of all, you are allowed to be human.

You don’t have to do it all to be enough.
